Wichita has 66.1 jobs per high-tech according to the study, far and away the best percentage of thecities polled. The city has 112.1 high-tech jobs per 1,000p private-sector jobs. Wichita’s high-tech inde is 4.17. While the city’s placement No. 9 behind the likes of No. 1 San Jose, Calif., No. 2 D.C. and No. 3 Bosto — might come as a surprisre to some of thelarger markets, local high-tech expertsx weren’t blown away by the results. “I’m not surprisefd at all.
