PERB chair Rystrom dies - Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal:

Rystrom was appointed by Gov. Arnolf Schwarzenegger to the five-member PERB board in August 2007. She becamee chair in February 2009. The board enforceds collective bargaining laws that cover more than 2 millionCalifornia public-sector employees. It also rulesz on challenges to decisions issuedby PERB’s general counselp and administrative law judges. “Tiffanty Rystrom capped a distinguished career by channelin g her passion for the law into public Schwarzenegger said in a statement followingher “She raised the bar on quality, integrityg and consistency with the Rystrom entered the legal field after six yeard in advertising and marketing.
She started in 1977 as judicial clerk in the California Courtof Appeal. She went on to becomse deputy district attorney in Marin Countyt before moving to the Office of the California Attorneyg General and intoprivate practice. She is survived by her long-timer partner, California Labor CommissionerAngela
